We visited a restaurant in Baguio City, Philippines,. The owner-chef is Mr. Lagro. The ambiance outside the restaurant is cozy. The front view is a beautiful terrace garden with flowers, plants, and orchids. As you enter the restaurant, you can smell the aroma of the cooked meals that will entice a warm feeling of love at home.
We went to the back door of the restaurant and saw the fresh source of ingredients that organically grow in their cultivated field. They produce beets, lettuce, carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, basil, and more.
The family of Mr. Lagro has the talent of growing various seeds. They nourish the soil and transform it. It’s not a large-scale vegetable garden, but it’s enough to run the business. The toughest part of the job is taking care of the grass and weeds, which grow everywhere. These usually destroy the growth of the vegetables.
They found the solution to their problem by using the best zero turn mower. It is effective in cutting the grass, so they don’t need to trim it further. They have become dependent on it as it makes maintaining their crops easier.
How do they cook their food? It’s seasonal! You will expect the bountiful pleasure local seasonings made from the fresh ingredients. The various herbs and spices accent the taste of each of the dishes they serve.
Their best-selling dish, the Pesto Cucumber Pasta with spinach and tomatoes, will captivate your heart and satisfy your taste buds. The main ingredients are freshly picked from their back garden. The pasta is made from cucumber. They use a spiralizer to create the noodle image. They prepare the parsley leaves, baby spinach, garlic, tomatoes, and their special spices and herbs. The food has been served in five to ten minutes after ordering.
The restaurant has left a good impression. From the front structure to the back garden, it will give you a warm feeling. The price is so affordable that you can come back anytime. It’s especially ideal for vegan foodies. You would probably want to hang out here because the overall ambience is great.
The only thing we hope they can improve is their seasonings. We wish they have an alternative ingredient for the seasonal vegetables to suit the appetite of their guests. We also like to pick our own vegetables from the back garden. Mr. Lagro did satisfy this wish. However, when we asked him, he said they usually don’t do it.
Overall, our experience here is excellent! It’s a must-try food place to visit.
